Inspired Youth represent Youth Charter for York

Inspired Youth have begun supporting York 800 to represent York’s Youth Charter by working with Cannon Lee School and Bilbrough Country Classroom

As part of this project IY are examining rights and responsibilities of young people through a series of works that will be premiered at Ebor Vox’s launch event this coming Monday (July 9).

Inspired Youth director Chris James says: “The whole project is a direct response to when York signed a Royal Charter for its independence 800 years ago in 1212 [the charter was provided by King John]; the city had new rights from that time onward, and this work in 2012 will look directly at what young people want and what actions they need to take to be heard.”
