Orillo Cinema is back. Yes indeed! The great (and decidedly popular) event will take place in the Minster Gardens on Sunday, July 22, 2012. “There is a cool campaign going with the sign at the moment, we are putting it in various locations around the town. We are also going to be running a competition for people to take photos of themselves with the sign, the best image will win them free tickets; sunglasses are tickets this year! There is a British theme to go with this one, in response to the Jubilee,” says Orillo representative Richard O’Hare.

What have the team learned from last year’s event that will help them move forward this year? “We learned a lot about the marketing last time. We are going to be much more succinct and clear with everything this time around.”

It’s Orillo’s second outdoor cinema (they’ve done three so far). This one will have a pop-up bar, and a bigger screen as well. There will be a band this time, as well as a DJ. The event is also going to feature some classic British sweet foods; from scones, to cupcakes (all the good stuff), via drinks served in teapots! How lovely!
