Ownbeat have won the tender to re-develop the Science City York website (alongside software developers Iquara Ltd). The two companies put in a successful joint tender and were invited back in early July to present their ideas in more detail to the SCY senior team. The pitch went really well and both companies were quickly notified that they had been successful, beating four other companies in the process.

“Ownbeat’s role in the process will be the front-end design and also the development of the content strategy for Science City York going forward,” says co-director Kieran Hazell. “We’re going to be doing a lot of exciting stuff with regards to social media integration, creating user conversation and finding innovative ways to push and pull the audience to and from the site.

“Science City are leaders at promoting business growth through innovation” continues Kieran. “For us, it will be about extending what is already a strong brand and enhancing it’s digital presence and reach – a very exciting project!”
